Alex Tinsley is a barrister in England & Wales. His practice focuses on INTERPOL, extradition, mutual legal assistance and international human rights litigation. He partners with lawyers in other countries to set up and pursue international human rights litigation, in particular in politically motivated criminal proceedings. Alex formerly headed the EU office of Fair Trials and participated in its successful campaign for reform of INTERPOL. He has been heard as an expert witness on INTERPOL, including by the Council of Europe. He is a member of the Human Rights Committee of the European Criminal Bar Association and the Legal Experts Advisory Panel (LEAP). He also acts as an advisor on criminal justice to UN organisations.
